AR Scott Hurricane 10s

I guess the name says it all! Yes hurricane Ivan had to be mentioned somewhere, after all it reduced Cayman Rugby to it’s very foundations for a while but like all strong foundations it was not long before the re-building began and that was spearheaded by A.R. Scott who just three months after the great storm sponsored the first ‘real rugby’ to be played on the pitch and with it the return of Rugby to the Cayman Islands.

Three teams played in the first year and the tournament has gone from strength to strength since then. Mr Scott (Ronnie) provides the post match beer which guarantees a top time for all whilst any touring side could add an international fixture to complete their tour of Cayman.

Interestingly Ronnie holds the accolade of being the Worlds oldest prop to take to the field in an International World Cup qualifier, at the ripe old age of 56. He is still going strong !
